The Rotary Club of LeRoy would like to thank everyone that made the Rotary Back-to-School Backpack Collection a great success. LeRoy is full of wonderful volunteers and community members. Save A lot started collections in advance, which really made a difference. Copart used their money from dress down day to provide school supplies and cash. This fundraiser was designed to help kick start the backpack program at Wolcott Street School which endeavors to make sure that children are not hungry over the weekend. The supplies were taken to the Baptist Church to be sorted. Each week the dedicated volunteers deliver the food to the school and the backpacks are filled. No child should go hungry. It takes a village……
